Space and place: where do artists map power and politics?

Since the emergence of site specific practices in the 1960s, artists have developed increasingly sophisticated and complex ways to engage with space and place in their work. The notion of mapping will be explored in order to engage with some contemporary art practices that employ spatial analysis as a political activity.
